We are a dynamic assembly of chemists, biologists, and engineers, who are fascinated by how nature derives functions from supramolecular assemblies within the nanometer to micrometer size regime. We seek to understand the fundamental rules underlying biomacromolecular recognition, assembly, and function by designing synthetic self-assembling peptides. We also approach disease-related biological issues by developing multivalent cell recognition and manipulation strategies in order to address challenges in diagnostics and therapeutics.
